'Fest for fun. Live with love.

Love Now Media presents 11 Days of Love Stories, an 11-day festival of community events throughout Philly running June 15th-25th. Events range from soulful live concerts to transformational storytelling workshops, exciting interactive experiences, and compelling television broadcasts.

All of the events are designed to spark positive action around social justice, wellness, and equity. Why? The future depends on your joy.


Full Festival Lineup

  • Day 1: Love x Innovation • Wednesday, June 15th • 5pm - 8pm • The Lawn at Ucity, 3701 Filbert Street. Tech has a love story too. Explore it. Music by DJ G33k, food, live performances, and tech activations.
  • Day 2: Poet’s Press Launch • Thursday, June 16th • 5pm - 8pm • Urban Art Gallery, 262 S 52nd Street. Black poets have been trusted voices in the Black community but how does poetry intersect with journalism? Join us for a reclaiming the headlines workshop, poetry performances, and a panel discussion to launch Love Now Media’s new Poet’s Press.
  • Day 3: Film Screening - Just Love Stories • Friday, June 17th • 6pm - 8pm • Philadelphia Film Center at the Borse, 400 Ranstead Street. A documentary film exploring the work of love during a global pandemic. Featuring Short films by Iresha Picot, Rashid Zakat, Marie Hinson, Tezarah Wilkins and Jos Duncan Asé.
  • Day 4: Love Our City Youth Talent Show • Saturday, June 18th - 5pm to 8pm • Columbia North YMCA 1400 N. Broad Street. In partnership with the Beckett Life Center and North 5th Street Revitalization Project. Calling youth ages 5-21, come share your talent in the name of love! 1st place, $500; 2nd place $250; 3rd place $150 in prizes. Get your tickets or sign up today.
  • Day 5: Paint Party for the People at Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival • Sunday, June 19th • 2pm- 6pm • Malcolm X Park, 5100 Pine Street (Art in the Park festival section). Create your own painting inspired by Black love with the help of local artists from Mural Arts Philadelphia and The East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention (ECBACC) Painters.
  • Day 6: Narrative Justice in the News • Monday, June 20th • 3pm - 4:30pm • Zoom (registration required). Join Love Now Media and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ) for a transparent panel discussion about narrative harm in news and how to heal.
  • Day 7: Food, Play & Love • Tuesday, June 21st • 6pm - 8pm • Atiya Ola's Spirit Foods, 310 S 48th Street. Explore storytelling at the intersection of love and food. Enjoy a workshop and cooking class.
  • Day 8: Gift of the Griot • Wednesday, June 22nd • 6pm - 8pm • Philly Cam, 699 Ranstead Street. Featuring renowned storytellers Charlotte Blake Alston, Atiba Wilson, and Linda Humes. Invitation only.
  • Day 9: Black Comics Storytelling Workshop • Thursday, June 23rd • 6pm - 8pm • Amalgam Comics & Coffeehouse, 2578 Frankford Avenue. Explore the comics you love and stories you can tell.
  • Day 10: Day Party • Friday, June 24th • 3pm - 6pm • Love Park, 16th and Arch Streets. Add your movement to love’s rhythm. Enjoy sessions led by some of our area's beloved movement leaders. Featuring music by DJ G33k.
  • Day 11: Songs for the Soul + Awards Ceremony • Saturday, June 25th • 5pm - 9pm • Sera Phi, 939 N Front Street. The festival finale! Enjoy an interactive music concert with Solomon Temple and friends. Live band and painter, food, and drinks.
