Dear Members of the Armenian Community of Greater St. Louis,We are honored to invite you to a special joint commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, sponsored by Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church of Belleville, IL, and St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church of Granite City, IL. This meaningful event will take place on Saturday, April 27, at the Jamjamian Cultural Hall of Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church. The day will begin with Badarak at 10:00 a.m., followed by a program and luncheon to honor the memory of those we lost and celebrate the resilience of our people.
This year’s commemoration, themed “Rising from the Ashes,” reflects the enduring strength of the Armenian nation and the rebirth of our spirit, much like the renewal of springtime. As we gather, we will celebrate the rich cultural traditions passed down through generations—our music, dance, language, and faith—that have flourished despite the challenges of history. This event is a testament to our community’s unity and the vibrant legacy we continue to build together. We hope you will join us for this inspiring occasion of remembrance, reflection, and renewal.
