About Ntenga Foundation RaceThe Ntenga Foundation Race is a one-day event which offers Durbanites and South Africans a fun filled day of fitness, family time and great entertainment. Citizens from all walks of life come together in the true spirit of Ubuntu to celebrate life in the beautiful coastal city of Durban. On September 24 our city is the epitome of our Rainbow Nation as families, from all communities and cultural backgrounds come out in numbers to participate in what has become the biggest social event on the City of Durban's calendar.
Now in its 10th year the Ntenga Foundation Race continues to grow in popularity as the programme is packaged as a family outing. The success of the race has seen the multiple choices that provide a unique and affordable day out which includes the choice of a 5 km fun run/walk and a 10km run/walk, Both events start at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium, the 10 km going all the way to blue lagoon coming back on the promenade to meet up with the 5km fun runners/walkers on the promenade next to Sun Coast casino. The race ends at Point Waterfront Beach where there are activities and entertainment available for everyone.
