This year, we will be focusing on Empowerment, and how we can foster an environment where women can feel confident, supported, and equipped to excel in their careers. Come learn from inspiring women leaders in the life sciences industry as they share their experiences and insights.
We invite both men and women to join us for this event, as we discuss the unique challenges women can face in the industry. Genentech Visitor and Vendor Policy:
Due to security measures at Genentech, all attendees must be pre-registered on Eventbrite prior to attending. Walk-in registration will not be available. Visitors and vendors will need to bring a government-issued photo ID to check in with Genentech.

Kelly Huggins, Ph.D. | Panelist
Director, Technology & Strategic Alliances | Amgen
Kelly received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2010 and completed post-doctoral work at Stanford in 2014. She subsequently held Business Development and Project Management positions at the Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) and Coherus Biosciences respectively, before joining Amgen as an R&D Operations Manager from 2017 to 2021. During her time at Amgen, Kelly partnered with ASF site leadership on external outreach, managing engagements with various academic institutions, life sciences incubators and biotech startups. She also led the ERA (Academic Extramural Research Alliances) contracting team and worked as the SP&O (Strategic Planning and Operations manager), supporting the Cardiometabolic leadership team and portfolio.
In 2021, Kelly joined Gilead Sciences Research, as a Senior Collaboration Manager, where she managed several industry and exploratory academic research partnerships spanning oncology, inflammation and virology. She also co-led the inaugural company-wide Science Day in 2022, which increased cross-functional engagement and awareness of the company’s research portfolio.
She returned to Amgen in 2022, where she currently serves as the Director of Technology & Strategic Alliances supporting the Therapeutic Discovery portfolio of partnerships and in-licensed technologies, focused on accelerating Amgen's innovation leadership in large molecule drug development.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
Tickets are not reimbursable, however you can transfer your ticket by 20JAN25 to whomever would like to attend on your behalf.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Tickets are non-refundable. Seating is confirmed and reserved in advance. All sales are final and no refunds will be provided, including but not limited to non-attendance at the event. If a registrant cannot attend, substitutions are welcome no later than 10 days before the event (20JAN25). The Chapter reserves the right to cancel an event if the minimum number of attendees is not met by the Monday prior to the event. The Chapter reserves the right to not answer emails or phone calls on the day of the event.

Directions & Parking Instructions
The event will be held at Building 35 at 350 DNA Way, South San Francisco. The Visitor Parking Lot will be open and available for event attendees.
Please enter Building 35 from the side of the parking lot so that Genentech Security can help check you in as a Genentech visitor before checking in with PDA WCC for the event.
