This year's theme is "Confluence of the Creative Arts," inspired by the Surrealist exquisite corpse game. In tribute to this age-old game of collaborative compositions, Viva Poesia will unite local poets, visual artists, and San Antonio UNESCO Chef Ambassadors, to craft poetry, visual art, and live cooking demonstrations along with tastings that will surprise and spark the imagination. This creative blending of activity will unfold simultaneously, infusing the event with spontaneous artistry, while celebrating San Antonio as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.This exciting event will also feature live music, a tree giveaway hosted by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department, make-and-take art activities for the entire family, and more! Pop-up vendors will be on-site, and food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
