It's year 10! The Tenth Annual Time for Change is this October! Come on out for a great night and support the Canadian Cancer Society!Every year the Canadian Cancer Society invests millions of dollars to the research of cancer, as well as millions of dollars towards advocacy, as well as to programs offered across the country.
Today, the Canadian Cancer Society is fighting to eradicate cancer for good. With the various types of research that the Canadian Cancer Society funds, there have been advances in treatment types, stem-cell research, and ways to slow down the spread of some types of cancers. However, this battle is only in its early stages. The Society continues to need support from the community.
With that I invite you to the TENTH annual Time for Change fundraiser on Saturday, October 5, benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society. This year, the event will be held at a new location - the Allandale Rec Centre in Barrie, with doors opening at 5:00pm and ending at 1:00am.
There will be a catered dinner for all guests around 6pm, as well as snacks throughout the night.
Last years theme was such a hit, we're going to do it again! Get ready to dress up for Halloween!

Last year was our most successful year by far, raising over FIFTEEN THOUSAND dollars, with all of it going to the Canadian Cancer Society. Let's see if we can match, or better yet, surpass that this year.
To raise money this year we have a number of things going on, including:
- A silent auction beginning at 6:00 and running for a few hours in to the evening
- Ticket sales will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society
- Raffle tickets will be available to buy at the event for the opportunity to win one of a few prizes, with 100% of proceeds going towards the society.
- On top of this, there will be a 50/50 raffle to raise money
- Once again there will also be a toonie toss for a Texas Mickey of alcohol
Tickets this year will again be $45 per person OR $300 for a table of 8 guests - which provides you with a catered dinner, a DJ and dance, one door prize ticket, and the chance to make a change!
