International Family Friendly Festival exploring Austin's Sister Cities
About this Event

Join Austin Sister Cities International ASCI on Saturday, November 15 from 11 am - 4 pm for the 10th Annual Passport to the World International Family-Friendly Festival.

The Parade of Cultures will kick off the festivities at 11:15 am at City Hall and process to the Passport of the World Festival. Traditional clothing from your country is encouraged!

The Passport to the World Festival at Austin Central Library from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm features FREE programming exploring Austin's rich international community through live performances, interactive games and crafts, and much more! Learn about all of Austin's incredible Sister Cities with fun, hands-on booths and activities by our sister cities.

A paid VIP reception immediately follows the festival and tickets can be purchased here.

Festival Schedule *subject to change

  • 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Remarks from Mayor Watson
  • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Parade of Cultures - Kicking off from City Hall and making its way to the Austin Public Library, led by the Diversity Band.
  • 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Free Paletas at the Library — Sponsored by Clay Imports
  • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Festival, Sister City & Friendship booths, Kids Activity Tables, & Performances
  • 12:10 PM – 12:25 PM: YoYo & Dance Performances (Taichung, Taiwan)
  • 12:30 PM – 12:50 PM: Nanairo Kimono Show (Oita, Japan)
  • 12:55 PM – 1:10 PM: Estilo Peruano Dance Group (Lima, Peru)
  • 1:30 PM – 1:45 PM: Irish Dance Group (Limerick, Ireland)
  • 1:50 PM – 2:05 PM: Des Amis Pop (Angers, France)
  • 2:10 PM – 2:25 PM: K-Pop Dance Performance (Gwangmyeong, Korea)
  • 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Silent Auction Winners Announced
  • 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Closing Ceremony & Awards
  • 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: VIP Reception
