10TH ANNUAL MAYLAND BLACK JAR HONEY CONTEST. Mark your calendars to come out and taste our local honey and help pick this year’s best. We are excited to announce that the 10th Annual Mayland Black Jar Honey Contest is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10th, 6 – 8 pm, at Homeplace Beer Co., 321 West Main Street, Burnsville

This annual event, including a silent auction of items donated by local merchants and artisans, raises funds for the Association’s mission of helping bees and beekeepers flourish in our neighboring communities via education, outreach, cooperation, and mentoring.

We again thank Homeplace and Hog Hollow Pizza for hosting us and scheduling the contest on our designated "Non-Profit Night" when 10% of their sales from 4-8 pm will go toward helping our beekeeping community.
