A traditional New Orleans style “Second Line” parade with a Key West twist! Participants honor lost their loved ones with a parade from Hog’s Breath to the Green Parrot with musical tributes!!The Crooks Second Line Celebration grew from the passing of world class musician Richard Crooks and the huge outpouring of good will from across the nation. Never has a celebration of someone’s life been so compelling with an outpouring of so much love and respect than for Richard Crooks. So we turned it into an Annual Celebration of all our loved ones. It’s grown every year!!
The New Orleans style funeral march from the Hog’s Breath Saloon down Duval Street, to the Green Parrot. The parade includes a 25 piece marching band and a thousand or more second line marchers.
JOIN US!! - We start at noon at the Hog’s Breath Saloon for Bloody Mary’s, then a grand photo of the Honorees and participants, around 2pm we march down Duval then to Green Parrot for a moving tribute to the honorees and celebrate your own loved one in this compelling culmination to the Crooks Second Line Celebration.
