10th Annual Cornhole Tournament

ABOUT THIS EVENT

On 10/10/2024 we’ll celebrate 10 years of WSA Cornhole! That’s a decade of throwing bags, sipping drinks, and raising money for groups doing good in our community. We know you all train hard every year to bring home the ultimate bragging rights, and we can’t wait to see who throws their way into the history books as the champ of WSA’s Number 10. As always, we’ll have some great items lined up in our silent auction, along with food, drinks, and live music by Rendition. Whether this is your first or your tenth, we can’t wait to see you there!

THE THANK YOUS

First and foremost: thank you for your support. Thank you for being a part of this event and part of our decade of giving back. Since its humble beginning our team has looked forward to this event each year, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our friends and community who sponsor, play in, bid at, and show up to this event year in and year out.

This year we are supporting Columbus’s Neighborhood Design Center. The NDC is a nonprofit organization that empowers underserved communities in Columbus to shape their neighborhoods through participatory design and planning. Alongside working directly with residents to create prosperous spaces, the NDC puts an emphasis on diversifying the next generation of architects and designers. Initiatives like their summer Youth Colab give students exposure to and hands-on experience with the practice of architecture.

We can’t wait for you to hear about the work the NDC is doing directly from their team. All proceeds from tournament registration, suggested entry donations, silent auction sales, and 50/50 raffle tickets will go directly to support their work.

THE DEETS

The WSA Cornhole Tournament is a 32-team bracket (with room for a play-in round if necessary). You buy the team tickets and we randomly assign matchups. Think March Madness but instead of basketball it’s cornhole outside our studio. Come ready to play, enjoy a cold drink, and have some fun. This year we’ve introduced a consolation bracket, so if you get beat on that final bag toss your team can keep the fun going in our secondary bracket with a small buy in that will be part of the proceeds going to NDC.

Outside of cornhole we’ll have pizza from a local food truck, drinks from local breweries. These local businesses will be released soon so keep an eye out on our social media pages! Additional food and drinks (both ABV-rated and non-alcoholic) will be available in our studio.

Once the tournament gets in full swing, our silent auction will kick off. As you pop into the studio to say ‘hi’ to our team or to get some fuel between rounds, be sure to browse items from some of our favorite brands, teams, and events.

When the final auction bell rings and the last bag is thrown, we’ll give the floor to our friends from the Neighborhood Design Center to hear about the work they’ve done and all the good they’ll be able to do with our support. As our favorite band, Rendition, plays the night out we’ll add up all the donations and sales and announce the total from the event – yes, we put it on one of those big checks.

Whether you’re battling it out on the cornhole court, in a bidding war with whoever #17 is, or just stopping by to hang out and listen to some good music, there’s fun to be had. We can’t wait to see everyone and hope that we can make this year our most impactful yet.
