This hands-on CNC training is designed to give access to the tool to participants that already know how to use the tool safely. If you have never used a CNC machine in the past, please book the beginner training.

• Specificities of materials
• Types of useful software
• Preparation for cutting
• Types of cutting
• Theory of technical drawing
• Previewing the cut

Practical elements :

• Creation of a vector drawing on Easel (import of an image or svg)
• Import of technical drawing
• Preparation of materials
• Preparation of the CNC
• Cutting
• Cleaning the machine
• After the training, the participant will be able to :
• Create a vector drawing on Easel
• Prepare the material for cutting
• Prepare the CNC for cutting
• Cutting with the CNC
• Clean the CNC

Material list provided with registration:

All materials are provided for the training except for the mandatory clothing and safety accessories.

It is strongly recommended to bring your laptop (with wifi and USB port) if you have one with an Easel Inventables account.

Wood 101 training required to use the machine as a member of the wood shop afterwards.

A knowledge of vector drawing and CNC cutting.
