In honor of the 100th year of Black History Month, please join Springwood Avenue Heritage Walk in celebrating Asbury Park’s West Side and a century of Black commemorations along the Ave. Come hang out at our in person Community Conversation event. It's a great chance to connect and chat about what matters to you over light refreshments. Whether you're new or a familiar face, everyone's welcome to join the fun and make new friends. Don't miss out – let's get talking and build something awesome together!

- Enjoy an afternoon of celebrating Black history with guest speakers and performances –– Ty Laws, Jason Jennings (The Rebirth Church), Wanda Smith, Jen Sauder (Asbury Park African-American Music Project), and Felicia Simmons (West Side Community Center/WCC Historic Renovation Association Inc.).
- Learn about and get involved in Springwood Avenue Heritage Walk’s effort to gather and document community voices
This event aims to celebrate the preservation of community legacy through the Springwood Avenue Heritage Walk, honoring Black history, resilience, and culture in our community.
