Here is a special opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit with some of the best people to help you! Dr. Williams needs no introduction but you may not have realised that he is an accomplished singer, loves a good joke, and can read Dylan Thomas like the true local he is.
The evening distils a captivating Christmassy atmosphere. The show covers all the moods of Christmas from mediaeval mysticism to a hangover and has hilarious moments. Dr Williams reads a breathtaking range of characters and sentiments. Music and readings are drawn from 11th century to our own. There are department store Santas, bishops, Music Hall characters, and Dickensian frosts.
Distinguished soprano Sally Bradshaw performs music from mediaeval times to Bach and Victorian ballads, via Debussy, Britten, carols and folk songs. Julian Broughton plays a range of instruments. Not content with merely the piano, in this show he picks up mediaeval bells and a violin.
Versions of the show have been a sell out hit from London to Manila and has been performed as far afield as Borneo, Greece and the South of France, as well as in theatres up and down the UK from Pitlochry to Barnstaple.
