CPRE, the Campaign to Protect Rural England, was established in 1926. As we approach the centenary year of our charity, we want to celebrate our achievements as well as looking forward to future challenges.CPRE Chairman, Simon Murray, will join us to review our history - from the pioneering days of calling for a planning system, the creation of National Parks and Green Belts, protecting dark skies - and always speaking up for our ordinary countryside next door.
After the CPRE Somerset AGM proceedings and review of our year, we will share the exciting projects we have planned, here in Somerset, for 2026.
We will serve tea and locally made cakes immediately after the meeting and we hope you will stay for a chat.
We do hope you can join us. All are welcome so do bring a friend. Places must be booked in advance.
The event is free of charge for CPRE members but we ask that non-members give a donation to help us cover costs of room hire and refreshments.
