About this Event
Worldwide there are more than 1,400 species of bats. That is about 20% of all mammal species. Bats live everywhere on Earth, except in the most extreme deserts and polar regions. Bats consume insects, pollinate plants and disperse seeds. A single bat can eat up to its body weight in insects each night and reduce the need for pesticides and fertilizers.
