Join in this informative presentation to learn about rain water harvesting and the basics of rain barrel construction and installation. While no rain barrels will be sold at this demo, registration information will be available for the next paid-event rain barrel workshop offered by UF/IFAS Extension Pasco County during which you build and keep a 55+-gallon rain barrel ($65).
Presenter Kate Kaste, Program Manager for the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program at UF/IFAS Extension Pasco County, grew up in the aisles of a commercial greenhouse that her family operated in their backyard, producing vegetable starts and chrysanthemum cut flowers in south Louisiana. Her formal education focused on the biology and chemistry of water resources, both marine and freshwater systems. Kate has worked for UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension for approximately four years and absolutely loves her job and her passion shows during all presentations.
