As the President of the Kuala Lumpur Volleyball Association (KLVA), I am honored to announce that KLVA, together with several State Volleyball Associations, is taking another significant step in developing Malaysian volleyball. We are proud to organize the 1 Utama Mixed Volleyball Championship 2025, a unique tournament set to take place inside 1 Utama Shopping Centre. A heartfelt thank you to 1 Utama Shopping Centre for sponsoring this special championship, making it possible to bring volleyball into a shopping mall setting. Our gratitude also goes to Coneli for providing the team jerseys, Sin Chew Daily as our official media partner, Molten as the official ball provider, and our newest content partner, Pudding Media. This event is a collaborative effort, not only between KLVA and the Selangor Volleyball Association (SVA) but also with the support of Johor Volleyball President, Mr. Franco Lui, who has been instrumental in the study and implementation of the volleyball court and safety net setup at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. From April 14 to 20, 2025. In addition to the 1 Utama Mixed Volleyball Championship taking place from April 18 to 20, we are also hosting a School Volleyball Friendly Match on April 15 to 17, with boys’ and girls’ matches scheduled at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Additionally, on April 14 and 17, there will be a Volleyball Clinic specially designed for women and children, providing a great opportunity to learn and experience the sport. We warmly invite shoppers and volleyball enthusiasts from all over Malaysia to join us and enjoy these exciting matches and activities. See you there for an unforgettable volleyball experience! Moving forward, we hope that all State Volleyball Associations will continue to work together more frequently in promoting volleyball at all levels. While state-level development is crucial, we must also focus on strengthening our national team. We sincerely hope that more private sector partners will step forward to support Malaysian volleyball, not just at the state level but also for the national team’s growth and success. KLVA remains committed to exploring new and innovative ways to promote volleyball, ensuring that more people discover, play, and love the sport.
