Join us for a two-day public meeting that will highlight efforts by the National Academy of Medicine’s Culture of Health Program to advance health equity over the past decade, particularly by exploring the underlying factors that drive health inequities, engaging communities, and centering actionable solutions that can create and sustain conditions that support equitable good health for everyone in America.

About this Event

The National Academy of Medicine's Culture of Health Program is a multiyear collaborative effort to deepen understanding, mobilize evidence, and identify strategies to create and sustain conditions that support equitable good health for all Americans.

The Program will hold a hybrid convening on February 6, 2025, from 8:30am to 5:00pm ET, and on February 7, 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm ET.

The objectives of this meeting are to:

· Highlight the Culture of Health Program’s efforts in advancing health equity over the past decade, supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

· Explore the underlying factors driving health disparities, emphasizing the importance of understanding how interconnected social systems shape opportunities and influence health outcomes across various communities.

· Provide a space for dialogue and deep discussion on how to transform policy, practice, and research to become more equitable with a focus on root causes of inequities - discrimination, poverty, structural racism.

· Inspire attendees with a hopeful message to encourage collaborative partnerships in support of the principles and priorities of NAM’s Culture of Health Program, fostering a sense of commitment to collaborative change.

· Provide a space to reflect and uplift the cultures and traditions of different population groups.
