On October 26, 2024, the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission will host 1 Million Steps 2 Safety, a FREE in-person 5K run/walk that will be held at State Police Headquarters located at 7919 Independence Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70819.This event will bring all road users together to celebrate Pedestrian Safety Month. All are welcome to participate in the run/walk.
Runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt for registering and a finisher medal after crossing the finish line at the event.
7:30 a.m. Packet Pickup, 9 a.m. Race Start
