• The basics of ad valorem taxation in Texas

• The types of property valuations and exemptions available to property owner to reduce their tax burden

• How taxes are covered in - or excluded from coverage in a Texas Title Insurance Policy

• A brief discussion of FIRPTA (The Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act of 1980), and how FIRPTA affects the Buyer when they are purchasing property from a Foreign Seller
