Carefully designed to increase confidence and learn self-regulating techniques, these bespoke sessions will be completely tailored to your particular child and family needs. The sessions can include boxing, Thai Kickboxing, self-defence, Muay Boran, fitness or a combination of these. They can either take place online or in person in Stevenage.
Each session is 45 minutes long and the course runs for 4 consecutive weeks. Costs are heavily subsidised by SPACE in order to make this experience accessible to as many families as possible.
As well as a space to learn fun skills and boost self-regulation, past participants have reported an overall increase in general well-being as a result of these sessions as well as specific gains in increased confidence, increased independence, reduced anxiety and an increased desire to participate in other SPACE activities.
The sessions are run in partnership with James from Bushin MMA. James has worked with many SPACE families 1:1 and has lots of experience working with neurodiverse children and young people.

If you book a school day session then once a booking has been made, a mutually convenient date and time will be arranged between yourself and James.
Families will pay £20 + Eventbrite fees per session so a total of £80 + Eventbrite Fees for the 4 week course.
Parents/Carers must remain on site at all times and children remain the responsibility of their parents/carers at all times.
