About this Event
Community Supported Agriculture is a new and ancient paradigm for harmonious food production that works for people and place. It is a model where producers and consumers are not separated by a marekt economy, instead integrated in a resilient and reciprocal relationship that shares the risk and rewards, the bumps and the bounty, of farming. This includes a spectrum of approaches from typical veg box scheme to CSA work shares in exchange for food, and everything in between.
We have explored many models and sit somewhere in the middle ground, finding a way to operate succesfully within todays world whilst pragmatically creating the new resilient food systems of tomorrow. We will cover CSA ethos and design, and also practical veg box set up, management and systems for success. With our beg box co-ordinator Sam Rudd and founder Hamish Evans the day will spill the beans on all our veg box and economic secrets to thriving, and learnign from our mistakes, so we hope it will be a rich and informative session for you! And a delicious lunch from the land together!
This workshop will explore the following topics together:
- Introduction to the CSA approach, model & potential
- Overview of routes to market & sales options
