🟢 Accepting 40 COED Pair Teams (1 Girl / 1 Guy)
If part of your team isn’t present at the start, you may pick up a sub with the opposing team's approval. However, delays will result in shorter games.
No subs allowed during bracket play (unless an injury occurs).
✅ Teams are guaranteed 4 pool play games (1-21 straight) with different pairs for each round. A single elimination bracket will follow with a final pair based on your overall point differential (Varying game lengths to meet time constraints).
⌚ Games Schedule Will Be Posted Ahead of Time! Each Round Will Have A Start Time and a Time Limit of 20 Minutes or 21 Points, whichever comes first! A timer will be used on the center screen to keep things on track!
Note that if you are late to your match, the other team will earn one point for each minute you are late! The more time you take to warm up, the less time you have to play!
🏆Prize: Winners will be paid out via Venmo with amounts being adjusted based on the number of signups!
📝Rules for REVCO
Serving:
•Players are not restricted on who they can serve to nor are restricted in the type of serve they use.
Blocking:
•Directional Blocking is Allowed
•Blocks do not count as a touch
• Guys can only block another guy's attack
• Guys cannot block an attack from a girl
• Girls can block any attack over the net from any opposing player
Attacking:
• Guys are limited in how they can attack when inside the 10 ft zone.
Legal Attacks: If you are taller than the top of the net when your arm is extended, you may break the top of the net, but it must have clear upwards trajectory! Such attacks include Rolls, Bumps, or Knucklng it over! All other players must stay below the plane of the net and attack using the aforementioned methods.
• Guys can break the top of the net if they are setting their own team but if they break the top plane of the net and the ball goes over to the opponents side, the point is awarded to the other team.
• Guys can hit behind the 10 ft. line without restrictions
• Girls can attack without restrictions anywhere on the court
Other:
•Players can remain in a set position on the court but should have a set rotation for all servers after a side-out
•Open hand receive is allowed but received and released without error (unless it is a hard-driven attack)
•Setting over is allowed but must be perpendicular to your body (please see me if this does not make sense)
•Accidental setovers will result in a point for the other team (everything must be intentional)
•Double will be called if they are egriogous
•No foot faults or touching the net (players can go into the other team's space as long as it does not impede the play)
