Get ready for this bull-free bonanza for rawhide pride! Whether you consider yourself seasoned cow-folk or a city slicker, you're gonna wanna shine up your boots in time for the Pink Pony Cabaret, a country dance + campout coming to the Lone Butte Community Hall on Friday, June 13th in support of the 100 Mile Pride Society.
Chilliwack's outlaw dance band The Unbranded will pony up with classic crooner Elise LeBlanc & Trixie, The Blue Wranglers' high-kickin vixen of bi-country & western. Together they'll pull from a century's worth of classic 2-stepping hits, country-fried rock and original dance numbers. And you never know who else we might rustle up along the way..
Arrive early to get your order in at Molly's Fish And Chips while you browse the Pink Pony Cabaret glee market for wares from boutique vendors based all across BC. We've got The Flying U's Red Wranglers on line dance duty, a 2 step orientation by local boot scootin pros and a star appearance by Sparklez the Clown. We'll raise funds for the 100 Mile Pride Society with a 50/50 draw, and if you haven't already snagged your Pride membership, it's a perfect time to get yourself set up.
Did we mention prizes for best-dressed cowpoke and couple? And in case you're wondering - OF COURSE you can bring your pink pony - Lone Butte Community Hall has a riding arena (contact the association directly at [email protected] to arrange). We're pleased to offer onsite camping for $10 a head. Tents, trailers and RVs are welcome (at your own risk) - please bring your own drinking water and plan to abide by fire band regulations. Inquire with Trixie for glamping at $50 a tent.
