In the underground where soundsystem culture mixes with dancefloor energy "Convergence" is not only an event series, but a residency for our artistic expression. With collaboration at its core, two of Victoria’s most dedicated event creators are building something for their community.
This is a space for those seeking the heaviest low-end while appreciating quality, curation and safety. We return to The Downbeat September 26th, 2025 for Dubversified Culture’s 8th Anniversary celebration.

Chimpo
Chimpo is the UK's music legacy personified. His legendary DJ sets take in all the genres created within the UK and all of the influences that inform them. Recently specialising in authentic old skool Jungle, he infuses his other musical loves into his songs and sets, taking sounds, voices and rhythms from Grime, Dubstep, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Soul and stirring them into the pot.
He works as a triple threat; production, DJing and vocalist. With two albums under his belt and having vocalled some of the biggest Drum n Bass anthems of the last few years, he stands as a highly rated and influential artist finding support and mentorship from his heroes Shy FX and Goldie.
His authenticity is further solidified by those he has worked with; Calibre, Kings of The Rollers, Dub Phizix, Skeptical, Big Narstie, Footsie & Trigga all count as collaborators. He has also released music with Metalheadz, Exit Records, Critical, Astrophonica, Soul:R and V Recordings and counted as part of infamous crews Levelz and Richie Brains.
