It’s Squirrel Appreciation Day, so let’s go a little nuts together! This unofficial holiday was started in 2001 to recognize squirrels and their important role in nature—especially their talent for planting trees by forgetting where they buried their snacks.

Join fellow geocachers at Flying Squirrel to hang out, talk caching, share a few “squirrel!” moments, and log another event. No physical activity required to attend—just bring your best nutty stories and a sense of fun.
