On April 12, 2007, Utica Police Officer and U.S. Marine veteran Thomas M. Lindsey was shot and killed during a motor vehicle stop. In the wake of his loss, fellow officers created the Thomas M. Lindsey Memorial Foundation—dedicated to honoring Tom’s legacy by supporting at-risk youth and preventing juvenile violence in our community.One of the most powerful ways we carried that mission forward? The Tom Lindsey Golf Tournament. For years, it was one of the area’s most competitive and beloved events—packed, talked about, and impossible to get into once it filled.
After a few years off while the Foundation focused on other projects, we felt it was time to bring something real back to Utica. So here it is: the return of a tournament with purpose, energy, and legacy.
The 2025 Tom Lindsey Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Valley View Golf Course (Utica, NY). Full registration and sponsorship info coming soon. Once the tournament fills, team spots will roll over for future years—so don’t miss your shot.
