The celebration kicks off with a live performance by Lower Case Blues, bringing classic blues music to the Beer Garden on Thursday, February 12 at 6:30 PM. This free, no-ticket-required show sets the tone for the week with soulful sounds, great beer, and laid-back coastal vibes. It is also the last show that Lower Case Blues is playing before their extended tour out of state.

The highlight of the weekend is a free, high-energy live performance by Zydeco Jed, a five-piece Zydeco band from Virginia bringing authentic Mardi Gras sounds to Rehoboth Beach. This upbeat, dance-friendly show captures the true spirit of Louisiana and makes Thompson Island one of the top spots for live Mardi Gras music at the Delaware Beaches.
