In Celtic mythology, masks are rich in symbolism. They often represent various deities, spirits, and the duality of existence. Masks serve both to conceal and reveal, allowing wearers to embody the entities they represent. Samhain and Celtic traditions are closely tied to modern Halloween, so feel free to combine old and new styles in your mask creation.
We will provide plenty of materials, but you are encouraged to think ahead about what kind of mask you want to create and bring any natural elements from home you’d like to include.
Bring your mask back on October 19th to join a lantern-lit parade and walk at Treasure Mountain. More details about the event will be shared soon!
