At our Halloween event hereβs what to expect:Step back in time and discover how Halloween began in Ireland over 2,000 years ago! Back then it was called Samhain, a magical night when the veil between our world and the spirit world was very thin. People lit huge bonfires, played magic games to tell the future, dressed up in disguises to trick fairies and spirits, and carved scary faces into turnips to keep them away! πͺπΊ
Weβll share the story of this festival in a fun, hands-on way, so kids can discover what their ancestors did and help keep these traditions alive for generations to come.
Then, enjoy all the modern fun:
β¨ Try on traditional handmade costumes and masks
β¨ Play old Irish games like apple bobbing and fortune-telling
β¨ Taste special Halloween-inspired local treats, like barnbrack and toffee apples π¬π
