Foraging is more than just gathering foodโitโs about connection, sustainability, and respect for the land. Jake will guide us through:
โข How to safely identify and harvest edible and medicinal wild plants.
โข The sustainable use of introduced flora (weeds) as valuable resources.
โข The ethics and responsibility of foraging to support conservation and biodiversity.
๐ฟ Who is Jake Cassar?
Jake Cassar is an award winning conservationist who has been described as an encyclopaedia of bush knowledge, earning this reputation by living off the land for extended periods in remote areas. Jake is regularly featured as a survival teacher and tracker on TV and radio, recently featured in the Sydney Morning Herald and SBS series Prepping Australia.
This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of Australiaโs leading experts in the field. Whether youโre new to foraging or looking to deepen your skills, this event will open your eyes to the abundance of useful plants all around us.
