This event is for everyone and anyone connected to KPHS. We have free food provided by a food truck, music, games for the kids and a bouncy castle. We also have a special guest speaker, Alumni Steve Gill.Each year, the Society hosts a Corn Roast for both alumni and current clients. This community celebration is an opportunity to share food, fellowship, and cultural connection in a welcoming space. Elders, staff, clients, alumni and their families come together to enjoy roasted corn and delicious food, while also participating in storytelling, music, and ceremony.
The Corn Roast honours the harvest season and symbolizes gratitude, renewal, and the strength of community. By bringing alumni and current clients together, it creates connection and bonds within recovery, provides mentorship opportunities, and reminds everyone that healing and growth are lifelong journeys supported by community.
