Just when you thought the season for Turtle Walk & Talks was over, Christmas has gifted us with an early blessing with City of Joondalup coming through with picking up the continuation of the turtle tracking program on their side of the Yellagonga Regional Park! 🐢💚🐢
Join us for a special free, family-friendly, all-abilities welcome community celebration as we mark the continuation of the Friends of Yellagonga Turtle Tracking Program through 2026 and 2027! 🥚🐢🥚
Together with legends from Friends of Yellagonga, Perth Wildlife Hospital, Wildlife Allies inc., Walliabup Wildlife Warriors and few more legends from Turtle Champions of Perth & Surrounds we are hosting a walk & talk like no other! 🌳🐢🌳
Bring the family along for a morning of conservation, connection, and fun:
• Meet the team behind the turtle tracking program at Yellagonga
• Learn about TurtleSAT
• Grab bumper stickers and sign up to the Wetlands Conservation Society and meet the Walliabup Wildlife Warriors
• Explore our kids’ activity area and learn more about protecting local wildlife
• Lastly, moat importantly let's explore and see the local turtle population under the jetty and the threats they face!
