Slovenský umělec András Cséfalvay v rámci doprovodného programu Art Sounds k výstavě Sahej Rahal: Beyond the City of Time představí ve čtvrtek 5. března v 18:00 přímo v expozici svou hudební performance When touch and translation is impossible, I sing. (Když není možný dotek ani překlad, zpívám.).
„Nemluví-li druhá strana mým jazykem nebo nemluví-li vůbec, je němá, všechny modely selhávají a jediným otevřeným komunikačním kanálem mezi cizími druhy je projev zranitelnosti. Proto zpívám. Umělecké vystoupení, které se setkává s jinými světy.“

András Cséfalvay
Vizuální umělec, digitální vypravěč, hudebník a „mytho-poet“ z Bratislavy, kde také vyučuje na Vysoké škole výtvarných umění. Po studiu malířství a matematiky napsal Cséfalvay disertační práci o užitečnosti a realitě fikce. Ve své tvorbě se zajímá o vztah mezi kulturou a technologií a o politické a etické aspekty naslouchání nedominantním hlasům ve výkladu světa. Jeho projekty byly vystaveny mimo jiné v Trafó Budapest, Karlin Studios Prague, KW Berlin, Muzeum Sztuki v Lodži, Art in General New York, ISCP New York, Firstdraft Sydney a Slovenské národní galerii. Získal řadu ocenění, včetně Ceny Oskára Čepana a Ceny Nadace Tatra banky za umění.

Užijte si hudbu mezi vystavenými díly! Projekt Art Sounds vznikl spoluprací Galerie Rudolfinum a České filharmonie na doprovodném programu k výstavám Zhanna Kadyrova: UNEXPECTED a Antony Gormley / Pavla Melková. S výstavou Poetics of Encryption přinesl přímo do expozice Galerie Rudolfinum současnou experimentální a elektronickou hudbu. Nyní se opět vrací jako doprovodný program výstavy Sahej Rahal: Beyond the City of Time.

As a part of the accompanying programme Art Sounds to the exhibition Sahej Rahal: Beyond the City of Time, Slovak artist András Cséfalvay will present his musical performance When touch and translation is impossible, I sing. on Thursday, March 5 at 6 pm.
"When the other side does not speak my language, or does not speak at all, is mute, all models break down, the only open communication channel between alien species is a display of vulnerability. This is why I sing - an artist performance meeting other worlds."

András Cséfalvay
A visual artist, digital storyteller, musician and mytho-poet from Bratislava, and also an Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. After studying painting and mathematics Cséfalvay wrote his dissertation on the usefulness and reality of fiction. His work is interested in the relationship between culture and technology, and political and ethical aspects of listening to non-dominant voices in world interpretation. His projects have been shown in Trafó Budapest, Karlin Studios Prague, KW Berlin, Muzeum Sztuki in Lodz, Art in General New York, ISCP New York, Firstdraft Sydney and Slovak National Gallery among others. He has been recognized with distinctions including the Oskár Čepan Award and the Tatra Banka Foundation Award for Art.

Enjoy the music between the exhibited works! The project was originally created as a collaboration between Galerie Rudolfinum and the Czech Philharmonic in Zhanna Kadyrova: UNEXPECTED and Antony Gormley / Pavla Melková exhibition programmes. With the exhibition Poetics of Encryption, Art Sounds brought contemporary experimental and electronic music directly into Galerie Rudolfinum's exhibition halls. Now it returns with the exhibition Sahej Rahal: Beyond the City of Time.
