💡以即興創作為核心，重新定義當代爵士的聲音邊界。
“melodies”是吉他手市野元彦與長期合作夥伴中音薩克斯風手津上研太和鼓手外山明的三重奏組合，這個當代即興音樂組合在東京音樂界中引起了廣泛關注與好評。成立於2023年，這個三重奏演奏市野元彦專門為他們流動的即興風格而寫的作曲，特別著重於空間和簡單的旋律，並嘗試創造音樂上的『動態藝術』。每一次演出都充滿了即興創作的不可預測性，旋律隨時可能被重新解構或重塑，節奏和音色在即興演奏中自由流動，讓音樂呈現出獨特的當代質感。樂團計畫在2024年發行首張專輯，並邀請薩克斯風手謝明諺作為客座樂手，為他們的即興創作注入新的靈感與能量。
‘Melodies’ is a trio project of guitarist Motohiko Ichino with his long-time collaborator Kenta Tsugami (alto saxophone) and Akira Sotoyama (drums), highly acclaimed improvisers in the Tokyo music scene. Formed in 2023, the trio plays Ichino’s compositions written especially focusing on space and simple melody for the band's floating improvisation, and trying to create musical “kinetic art”. The band is scheduled to release their debut album in 2024, with guest saxophonist Minyen Hsieh.

❑ Guita,Compositions／市野元彥 Motohiko Ichino
東京的吉他手/作曲家市野元彦於1999年畢業於柏克萊音樂學院，師從Mick Goodrick和Bret Willmott學習和諧與即興。作為樂隊領導者，他已發行了6張原創音樂專輯。他以Motohiko Ichino Quartet的名義發行了《Sketches》（2007）和《Time Flows Like Water》（2008）兩張專輯。他還帶領了一支五人樂隊'rabbitoo'，並發行了《national anthem of unknown country》（2014）和《the torch》（2016）。該樂隊的首張專輯也由naïve records在歐洲發行，並於2014年9月被選為Top Mezzo（法國MEZZO TV）。此外，他還帶領著以即興音樂為重點的四人樂隊'Sweet Herringbone'，並數位發行了《After Ten》（2020）和《Flourish》（2021）。近年來，他與外山明和津上研太組成了吉他-薩克斯風-鼓的三重奏'melodies'，並計劃於2024年發行首張專輯。除了作為領導者演奏自己的音樂外，他還作為各種樂團的成員出現，並參與超過30多張專輯錄製發行。
Tokyo-based guitarist/composer MOTOHIKO ICHINO graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1999, where he studied harmony and improvisation with Mick Goodrick and Bret Willmott. As a bandleader, he has released 6 albums of original music. He has released “Sketches”(2007) and “Time Flows Like Water”(2008) under the name of Motohiko Ichino Quartet. He also leads a five-piece band ‘rabbitoo’, and has released “national anthem of unknown country” (2014) and “the torch” (2016). The band’s debut album is also released all over Europe from naïve records, and selected as a Top Mezzo of September 2014 (MEZZO TV, France). Also he leads ‘Sweet Herringbone’, a four-piece band with focus on the improvisational aspect of music, and has digital released “After Ten”(2020) and”Flourish”(2021). In recent years he leads a guitar-saxophone-drums trio ’melodies’ with Akira Sotoyama and Kenta Tsugami, and is scheduled to release their debut album in 2024. Besides playing his music as a leader, he is featured on various groups and appeared on more than 30 albums as a sideman.
❑ Alto saxophone／津上研太 Kenta Tsugami
津上研太在大學時期跟隨音樂家大友義雄和喬治大塚學習音樂。他於1987年與大塚洋和古澤良治郎首次出道表演。他曾與日本許多頂尖音樂家進行巡迴和錄製專輯，包括忌野清志郎、坂田明、涉谷毅、山下洋輔、綾戶智絵、大友良英、菊地成孔等眾多音樂家。他還曾與大友良英的'New Jazz Ensemble'、'New Jazz Quintet'和菊地成孔的'Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden'在世界巡迴和錄音演出。作為樂隊領導者，他帶領著由南博（鋼琴）、水谷浩章（貝斯）和外山明（鼓）組成的樂隊'Bozo'，並演奏自己的作曲和編曲。Bozo已發行了4張專輯。
Kenta Tsugami had studied music with Yoshio Otomo and George Otsuka when he attended college. He first performed as a professional musician with Otsuka and Ryojiro Frusawa in 1987. He has toured and recorded with many of Japan's leading musicians, including Imawano Kyoshiro, Akira Sakata, Takeshi Shibuya, Yosuke Yamashita, Chie Ayado, Otomo Yoshihide, Naruyoshi Kikuchi and many others. He also recorded and toured worldwide with Otomo Yoshihide's ‘New Jazz Ensemble’ ’New Jazz Quintet’ and Naruyoshi Kikuchi’s ‘Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden’. As a bandleader, he leads the band ‘Bozo’ with Hiroshi Minami (piano), Hiroaki Mizutani (bass) and Akira Sotoyama (drums), and plays his own compositions and arrangements. Bozo has released 4 albums.
❑ Drums／外山明 Akira Sotoyama
外山明是當今日本最令人興奮的鼓手之一，以其創新的演奏風格創造出非凡的音樂"磁場"，展現在各種領域。自移居東京以來，他活躍於多種音樂風格。他曾與日本許多頂尖音樂家進行巡迴演出和錄製專輯，包括Tipographica、坂田明、日野皓正、渡邊貞夫、山下洋輔、涉谷毅、板橋文夫、忌野清志郎、高野寛、小沢健二、UA等眾多音樂家。他獨具特色的原創擊鼓風格源於他豐富多元的旅行經驗，涵蓋了包括古巴、印度和西非在內的許多國家，與當地的打擊樂手合作交流。
Akira Sotoyama is one of the most exciting drummers working in Japan today, who creates an extraordinary musical "magnetic field" with his innovative playing style. and is active in a variety of genres. Since moving to Tokyo, he is active in a variety of genres. He has toured and recorded with many of Japan's leading musicians, including Tipographica, Akira Sakata, Terumasa Hino, Sadao Watanabe, Yosuke Yamashita, Takeshi Shibuya, Fumio Itabashi, Kiyoshiro Imawano, Hiroshi Takano, Kenji Ozawa, UA and many others. His strikingly original drumming style is the result of a long journey through many countries, including Cuba, India and West Africa, where he was able to collaborate with local percussionists.
❑ Tenor saxophone／謝明諺 Minyen Hsieh
別因他的謙虛風度而輕忽他，謝明諺是今日台灣音樂界最勇敢的人物之一。布魯塞爾皇家音樂院爵士薩克斯風演奏碩士、碩士後文憑。在2011年的夏天回到台灣後得到了2012台中國際薩克斯風大賽冠軍。自2014年發行個人首張專輯《Firry Path》以來，他著眼於繼續發掘及探索新的領域，在不同的風格之間跳躍，如變色龍般的能力在他參與的每個組合都能準確找到合適的聲音實在是令人驚嘆。參與過的十餘張爵士專輯並共獲得了兩座金曲獎、六座金音獎的肯定。在獨立、實驗、影視和流行樂壇也跨刀合作了超過百首的作品。眾多跨界邀演中也包括了2017年台北大運閉幕式的熄聖火樂：《薪傳》。
疫情後的2023，明諺持續拓展他在各種領域的演出合作：例如參與衛武營製作的台灣原創混種當代歌劇《天中殺》其中爵士樂設計和演奏； 擔任新北春紛節、兩廳院夏日爵士戶外場、台灣國際即興音樂節的音樂總監/顧問。演出方面則有台灣瑞士前衛音樂交流音樂節：《After Spring Festival》，台中爵士音樂節，世界音樂節，兩廳院夏日爵士《爵士雙宇宙》、東區爵士節、Asia Rolling Festival，以及Leo王、百合花、米莎、蘇郁涵、午夜午夜等等樂團的專場演出。
明諺與音速死馬和組合非/密閉空間於同年度舉行了數場《殘骸奇聲》沈浸式展演，以及專輯《後設時空共構》的專場，並受邀於法國巴黎的Jazzycolors音樂節演出。他們也以此專輯獲得了第十四屆金音創作獎共六項提名以及兩座最佳樂手獎殊榮。
同年七月，他發表了和日本超技爵士鋼琴家Suga Dairo new little one合作專輯《Our Waning Love》。同年度中，他於日本進行了近三十場的巡迴演出。合作對象包含了：Sabu Toyozumi、Suga Dairo、林榮一、大友良英、內橋和久、美川俊志等日本前衛爵士代表音樂家們。
從年初，他也開始了與柯智豪合作的音樂雜談Podcast節目《先吹再說》。
Minyen Hsieh is a highly regarded, award-winning Taiwanese saxophonist. The Taipei native, born in 1981, started to perform professionally at the age of 19, and received his Master degree from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels in 2010. His strong improvisation skills and rich tone has made him a coveted player in several genres varying from: jazz, rock, folk, hip-hop, electronic to avant-garde. He won the Taichung Saxophone Competition in 2012, 2 times Golden Melody Awards (Grammy Awards in Chinese speaking world) and 6 times Golden Indie Music Award with His solo & co-leading albums. Besides Taiwan, he also tours frequently in Japan, Hong Kong, South-East Asia and west Europe.
