Join us this Family Day at Westfield Heritage Village! Hike three kilometres through lovely maple forests and other significant natural areas to the top of the trail and enjoy free hot chocolate and benches around an outdoor fire.Then enjoy the lovely three kilometre hike back to the Village. Prefer a shorter hike? Hike to the General Store for free hot chocolate. Cookies and candies are available for purchase.
🍁Learn how to tap a maple tree – demonstration will take place at 2 PM.
🚜Tractor and wagon rides take you on a trip around the historic Village and enjoy the outdoor fires.
🏠The D’Aubigny Inn will be open and you can learn more about the history of chocolate.
🚂Stop by the Railway Station on your way and meet some of our volunteers while you learn about early winter travel.
🐦Identify and learn about birds at Westfield! Watch who is enjoying the bird feeders and help identify them. A Westfield volunteer will provide interesting facts about our native birds.
⭐Explore the fun, unique and one-of-a-kind treasures and souvenirs at the Gift Shop.
Please note: There are no washrooms at the top of the trail and the other historic buildings are NOT open.
