Join us for a meaningful, hands-on workshop as Mika from Indigenous Dreams guides you through the beautiful and cultural art of Ribbon Skirt making. Whether this is your first skirt or you’re adding to your regalia, this workshop offers a warm, safe, and creative space to learn, connect, and honour tradition.
Traditionally, ribbon skirts are hand sewn — each stitch carrying intention, strength, and story. It is also traditional that the very first ribbon skirt you make is gifted to someone special, so consider bringing a friend to share in the experience or to receive your heartfelt creation. While hand sewing will be taught and encouraged, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer to work with one.
Over the course of three hours, Mika will walk you through each step — from choosing fabrics and ribbons to assembling and personalizing your skirt with meaning and care. You’ll leave with a completed ribbon skirt that reflects your spirit, creativity, and cultural appreciation.
Spaces are limited — reserve your spot and immerse yourself in this beautiful crafting experience. ✨
