Is your child curious about how the world works? Maybe they have seen one of our locomotives and wondered how they used to work?Join Young Engineers for an engaging STEM session this February half term to learn about conveyor belts and how they work using belt transmissions.
Older kids will be going a step further and looking at how conveyor belts are used in cargo aircraft. A detachable output gear allows one motor to power multiple machines, eliminating the need for an electric motor for each conveyor belt.
Kids will have the chance to build one of these models using our kits, play with their model, and upgrade the model using their own creativity.
Although we would love to let you keep the models, they do need to be handed back at the end for the next workshop.
Young Engineers is suitable for ages 5-11 (younger children can take part with adult supervision).
