About this Event
Thursday 18th September 2pm to 5pm
Location: South Lynn Community Centre, 10 St Michael's Rd, King's Lynn PE30 5HE
Overview
This event is the final event in our series of engagement events and is part of our shared commitment to embedding the Marmot approach—placing the social determinants of health at the heart of local decision-making. It’s about long-term, joined-up action driven by communities and organisations working together.
Why Attend?
- Explore local needs and assets, with a focus on children and young people.
- Understand your role in the Marmot programme and how you can contribute.
- Connect with others to identify opportunities for partnership action.
What You’ll Gain:
- A data presentation and pack from the Institute of Health Equity (IHE) to support understanding and evidence-based planning.
- The chance to take part in meaningful conversations about local priorities and strengths.
- A clearer sense of your organisation’s role in shaping a fairer, healthier future for young people.
What We’re Hoping to Learn:
- Your experiences and insights about local needs and existing efforts.
- Information about your organisation’s assets and areas of focus.
- Who is ready to work with us—and how we can build momentum together.
This is a key moment to help shape the next phase of our Marmot work and ensure this reflects the needs and strengths of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. For those of you who may have attended our events in Hunstanton and Downham Market, this workshop will follow a similar format but with a specific focus on Kings Lynn and wider town health inequalities.
We look forward to working with you.
