To mark the International Mother Language Day, Gulshan Society will organize 'Gulshan Society Bhasha Utshob 2025', a two-day festival starting on 21 February from 10:30am to 7:30pm at Gulshan Lake Park.This vibrant event, with an aim to celebrate linguistic diversity, will showcase panel discussions, performances, and sessions in Bangla, English, and other languages of Bangladesh, highlighting the importance of mother tongues and their role in shaping our identity. Eminent literary personalities, journalists, academicians and cultural performers will be featured in more than 15 well-designed sessions across two days.
A mini Book Fair featuring a wide range of literary works, a food zone with diverse culinary offerings, and a variety of engaging activities will also be part of the festival.
A Shahid Minar replica has also been set up inside the park by Gulshan Society for the citizens and organizations to pay tribute to the language martyrs.
The language festival provides a unique platform to celebrate our languages, fostering a deeper appreciation for Bangladesh's heritage and the significance of multilingualism in a globalised world.
