Meet our community heroes - the emergency services superstars who turn up when we need them most. From the national groups to the local volunteers who help make our community safe and connected.
Fire Brigade, First Responders, Search & Rescue, Hato Hone St. John, NZ Police, Neighbourhood Support, Landsar, Civil Defence, Community Patrol, and more. For a donation, you can have a safer-screw attached to your car's licence plate to prevent theft. Hopefully some surprise extras on the day.
For the kids, there's a cool 'learn n earn' activity to complete to receive a free ice-block, as well as face-painting. Try the virtual reality headsets and check out the loal Civil Defence Community Hub - the place to go if an emergency hits home in Ōmokoroa.
Coffee cart, ice cream truck, sausage sizzle and bacon butties. Yum for every tum!
This is a free event, organised by Ōmokoroa Community Response Team and supported by Western Bay of Plenty District Council's Community Resilience advisor, Kurt.
