The first Friday of each month we offer mini workshops, all materials provided, for only $5. These workshops will teach a variety of old skills and introduce modern applications of those skills.
OOPS!!! I FAILED TO NOTICE THAT THE FIRST FRIDAY IN FEBRUARY IS ALSO WINE ABOUT WINTER. WE ARE PARTICIPATING AS A SNACK STOP FOR WINE ABOUT WINTER SO WE ARE MOVING THE FIRST FRIDAY TO THE SECOND FRIDAY. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. In February we with be teaching one of the oldest skills known to man kind, hand spinning, most often using a drop spindle. Evidence of the use of hand spindles were found in paleolithic graves and they continued to be used today. once you get the hang of it, it's a very relaxing and portable way to make yarn.
We'll have everything you need to try it, and Nanci's Fancies sells a variety of plain and decorative drop spindles in our shop. Come on out and join us.
