GoldCoast Oceanfest 2021

As you will have seen in our latest newsletter and social media posts, after 21 consecutive years, it is with very heavy hearts that we have to announce #Oceanfest20 is to be postponed until 18th-20th June 2021.

Oceanfest is produced by a very small team of just three people, who work closely with the local authorities and emergency services to ensure the safety of you, our faithful fans, at the festival each year and sadly it would be unsafe for the event to take place this June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the current government advice under constant review, we feel that we cannot in all good faith commit to an alternative date later this year.

Although these circumstances are beyond our control, we still would like to send our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to joining us for #Oceanfest20 this summer.

We are working hard to ensure Oceanfest gets through the current situation but we will need your help too. A large majority of you purchased your tickets before any of the music announcements in late February because you simply love what we do. We love you for showing the faith in us and we would again urge you wherever possible to keep the faith and roll your ticket over to next year’s event. (Please note the line up will change for next year’s event).

If you have purchased a ticket to this year’s event, your ticket will automatically be transferred to 2021 with no action needed to be taken on your part. The more support of this nature we receive the better placed we will be to make next year the memorable event we all want to share.

We completely understand that not all of you will be in a position to roll your tickets over to next year. As such we will be offering a one off limited window for refunds, for two weeks until Monday 4th May 2020, for those who are unable to commit to being with us in Croyde for #Oceanfest21

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We are genuinely gutted we will not be sharing our traditional midsummer weekend in sunny Croyde Bay. Our team will now strive to make next year the truly brilliant production we all deserve and we are already looking forward to seeing you at #Oceanfest21 on 18th-20th June 2021.

TICKET INFORMATION

1. All sales are final. No refunds, please do not ask as it is not comfortable for any of us. There are NO tickets for individual performances – you are buying a ticket to the festival not to see an individual act.
2. All under 16s should be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21
3. If you are aged 16 or 17 you should purchase an Under 18 ticket
4. Anyone with an Under 18 ticket will be refused access to bar areas and will be searched/observed differently as a minor. You may also be checked for alcohol consumption before your arrival or at any time whilst at the festival via alcoblow – a simple rapid response instrument that is used simply to determine whether or not a person has any alcohol in their system. Anyone under the influence of drugs may be refused entry or ejected at the organisers discretion
5. Each adult may only be responsible for a maximum of 4 under 18s
6. GoldCoast offers children under 6 discounted entry, as part of a family, although they still must have a valid ticket, for £10 + booking fee. (A maximum of 2 per family)
7. If you are aged between 18 – 23 years we strongly recommend you bring proof of age to guarantee entry to the festival

10. No re-entry to the arena after 6 pm. There will be no re-admission after 6 pm once the sporting events on the beach have finished for the day. This will only affect those leaving the arena and not people arriving for the first time.As an anti-counterfeit measure tickets are NOT sent out in the post. An eTicket will be sent to the email address you supply when buying your tickets. Simply print this email and bring it with you to the event.Please encourage your friends and family to get in quick – Oceanfest is spectacular value for money, considering it is a 3 day festival with over 20 live acts.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event

If you are aged between 18 – 23 years we strongly recommend you bring proof of age to guarantee entry to the festival.All under 16s should be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21 and each adult may only be responsible for a MAX of 4 under 18s.

Does the ticket include camping?

No, tickets do not include camping. Please see our Accommodation page for a list of local providers.

What's the refund policy?

No refunds will be made, or other claims met, solely because:

• you have been refused entry or evicted from the venue or are unable or choose not to attend the event
• parts or all of the venue are temporarily unavailable for any reason
• advertised events or performances do not proceed
• your ticket is lost or stolen
• the event does not meet your expectations.

How do I buy Family Tickets?

To purchase the discounted family tickets please make sure you select those which are marked FAMILY GROUP DISCOUNT ticket types then you may simply select 4 passes (which is valid for 2 adults and 2 under 18s only).
